Our used garment collection programme is part of OVS's commitment to protecting the planet. Giving a second chance to clothes you no longer wear is easy. Simply leave them in the dedicated containers you can find in OVS stores.

Bring your used garments to the store and leave them in the dedicated container. We accept all garments, accessories and household linen in good condition.
For each bag you hand in, you receive a €5 voucher for a new purchase of at least €40.
Use your voucher on your next shopping trip.

What happens to your clothes:

70.6% is reused
21.95% is sent for recycling
7.45% is sent for energy recovery

Do you have clothes in good condition that you no longer wear? Give them a second chance! Bring them to OVS stores and place them in the dedicated container: through our partner Humana People to People Italia, we will make sure they continue to live on, even if you are no longer the one wearing them. Through the collection of used clothing, Humana Italia supports social and environmental projects in Italy and around the world in the areas of healthcare, education, sustainable agriculture and community development.

About Humana

Humana People to People Italia is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1998 to support development projects around the world and social and awareness-raising initiatives in Italy. The organisation is part of the Humana People to People Federation, which operates in 49 countries across Europe, Africa, America and Asia. In 2025, the Federation funded 1,856 development projects worldwide, benefiting 17.1 million people.

Every year, 11 kg of clothes per European citizen are thrown away (out of 26 kg purchased).

Textile Recycling

Only 1% of used clothes is actually recycled into new textile fibers worldwide.
