WHAT IS THE MOST SUSTAINABLE FIBRE?
Cotton
Cotton is the second most widely used fibre in the fashion industry. For us, it’s the first. In our collections, you’ll find cotton products from traceable supply chains. Organic Cotton – GOTS or OCS certified – grown according to organic farming standards, without the use of pesticides, using natural methods that preserve the richness of the soil. Cotton Made in Africa, grown by small local farmers. Recycled cotton, GRS or RCS certified, giving new value to materials that already exist. Look for the certification logos GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, Cotton Made in Africa on the labels.

Cotton is the most represented fibre in our collections. That’s why we choose it with particular care. 100% of OVS cotton is more sustainable: recycled, organic or produced according to the Better Cotton Standard.
Recycled cotton
GRS or RCS certified, giving new value to materials that already exist.
Organic cotton
GOTS or OCS certified, grown according to organic farming standards, without the use of pesticides.
Better Cotton Standard
The Better Cotton Initiative is the world’s leading programme promoting farming practices that aim to improve the environmental and social impact of the cotton industry.
Cotton Made in Africa
Cotton sourced from small African producers for whom cultivation contracts provide a guarantee of secure and decent work. The crops follow a standard that regulates the use of land and water and preserves biodiversity. In addition, thanks to the HIP (Hard Identity Preserved) system, the fibre, yarn and product are guaranteed to contain exclusively Cotton Made in Africa.

After cotton, synthetic fibres are a fundamental component of our collections. Materials such as polyester and polyamide are necessary to ensure that garments are lightweight, breathable, resistant and durable. When we choose recycled synthetic raw materials, we maintain the performance of our fabrics, giving new life to what already exists.
